This stately, estate, dating from the early 1200s, once belonged to the powerful Medici family and is now property of another illustrious family: i Carpini.
Wine-making is the unbroken thread that runs through countless generations, as far back as 1245; an enterprising friar called Giovanni Carpini was sent by Pope Innocent IV to the Emperor of Cathay bearing a gift of rare Tuscan rootstock. Two farmhouses are called Felciai and Fabbri they were built by the Grand Duke of Tuscany Leopoldo II of Lorena, in fact they are named " Leopoldine ". They dominate two gentle hills with 360° degree views of rolling hills that spread as far as the eye can see. They are completely independent, 250 metres from each other. They offer all the modern comforts and have been decorated respecting the traditional style of the time maintaining intact its original architectural features. Each Villa has its own private pool both in a beautiful panoramic position. There are also 2 apartments called Terrazza and Libreria. It is close to the village of Montebenichi.
