Casa Matio, Cordigliano


The hamlet of Cordigliano is 12 kms from the ancient town of Todi, well situated and less than an hours drive to Assisi, the city of St. Francis, Perugia, capital of Umbria with magnificent picture gallery, Spoleto, home of the famous music festival in June/July. Also convenient for trips to the major cities of Tuscany including Florence and Siena. Todi dates back to the Etruscans with fine churches and interesting narrow cobbled streets leading onto the main piazza - reputed to one of the finest in Italy. Todi Arts festival is held every summer.
The cottage is on ground level, characteristic with original beamed ceilings and terra cotta floors. Artistically converted by the owners who live close by. Panoramic views over the Tiber valley with Umbrian hills beyond surround the property.

A feature of the cottage is a private terrace overlooks an olive grove on a lower terrace. The accommodation is arranged as follows:

Sitting and dining room open plan to kitchen with glass doors leading onto private terrace.
Master bedroom with double bed, extra single bed if required, with open staircase to gallery.
2nd double bedroom with double bed plus extra single bed if separated beds are preferred.
En-suite bathroom
3rd double bed.
2nd full bathroom

Central heating and washing machine. Plus a shared swimming pool with the owners of 12 x 5 metres.

Approximate distances: Tennis - 2 kms and riding stables - 36 kms.

Approximate distances: Assisi - 60 kms, Florence - 140 kms, Orvieto - 40 kms, Perugia - 45 kms, Rome - 130 kms and Spoleto - 45 kms.
