Orvieto - a medieval town with an elevation of 150 meters on a plateau of volcanic rock

Situated between Florence and Rome with excellent communications for the Autostrada and main line railway. A complete bustling town of friendly locals with theatre, cinema, museums and countless trattorie and restaurants providing typical Umbrian cuisine. Orvieto is famous for its wine and also hosts many festivals, from Umbrian Jazz for New Year with music in the streets and bars during this festive season to the famous historical procession of the feast of Corpus Christi in June.

Casetta Malcorini - is a jewel situated in a quiet backwater of the centro storico (the old town) only five minutes from the famous Piazza della Republica and yet has a country feel being on the periphery of Orvieto overlooking the breathtaking views of open countryside from all the windows and the dining terrace.

The apartment has been restored and refurbished with open plan style with light streaming in through the windows with views across sweeping landscape. Furnished with a combination of antiques and modern, the original wood beams dominate the apartment in contrast with a modern fitted kitchen and glass doors leading to the terrace.

A perfect place for a honeymoon retreat or base from which to explore the countless treasures of Perugia, Assisi, Spoleto. Lake Bolsena being only 20 minutes for an early evening drive. Express trains to Rome and Florence take about an hour.

Sofa bed if separate sleeping is preferred. Separate shower with washing machine, washbasin, w.c. Bidet, and shower cubicle.

Outside dining terrace ideal for painting, reading or relaxing.
